January 18, 2016 - DAKCS Software Rapidly Meets Client Conversion Needs in 2015 and Announces 2016 Initiatives.
DAKCS rapidly transitions CSS IMPACT customers in 2015 and announces 2016 initiatives.

Ogden, Utah, January 18, 2016 – The first six months of 2015 turned out to be a busy and exciting time for DAKCS Software Systems (DAKCS). While working closely with technical and operational resources from both YCCS, a Yakima, Washington based debt collection firm, and CAB Business Development, a North Charleston, South Carolina based firm who offers call center, enterprise back off (EBO), early out and debt collection services, DAKCS’ consulting, data conversion and implementation teams were quickly thrust into learning how to rapidly migrate and electronically convert the Collection Solutions Software’ (CSS IMPACT) accounts receivable management product.

“Our customers were put into a difficult predicament with the use of their former collections management software product, some felt handcuffed,” stated DAKCS’ Director of Implementation, Dax Nelson.

“The ability to quickly convert millions of records of their valuable data into our Beyond ARM application was paramount to their continued business operations. I am extremely proud of our technical and consulting teams, along with our customer implementation teams in the successful go-lives of these customers,” added Nelson.

The experience working with the first two CSS IMPACT customers was put to the test in September 2015, when GRANT & WEBER reached out to DAKCS with a similar request to rapidly migrate over 100 users from the CSS IMPACT platform. GRANT & WEBER, a Calabasas, California based debt collection company, founded in 1977, has always leveraged technology in the success of their company and was put in a difficult technical and contractual predicament requiring the joint teams to move from contract signing to go-live in an astonishing, less than twenty days.

“Based on our core philosophy here at GRANT & WEBER, choosing DAKCS became a clear decision for us. DAKCS runs their business with similar philosophies and passionate consideration for their clients as we have always instilled in our organization,” said Jimi Bingham, Chief Executive Officer of GRANT & WEBER.

Jimi continued, “We’ve built our foundation on integrity and customer service, with a focus of client care. We see the same core beliefs in DAKCS. The transition and speed in our data conversion alone has us impressed and we are excited for what’s to come as we build our long-term partnership with DAKCS.”

The technical knowledge and processes obtained with these new implementations has allowed DAKCS to quickly differentiate itself from other collection management software vendors. For those evaluating accounts receivable management software replacement in 2016, DAKCS initiatives include:

  • Cost Match or Less Monthly SaaS fees: For those CSS IMPACT customers that are hosted, DAKCS will match or beat the monthly SaaS fees currently paid.
  • Data Conversion Discount Incentives: Due to our teams technical competency of the CSS IMPACT system and success in rapidly converting customer data we are able to profitably ensure that your go-live will be a quick success. Therefore, as an incentive, we are offering greatly discounted data conversions for CSS IMPACT customers.
  • Former CSS IMPACT Director of Business Development is now DAKCS’ Senior Account Executive: We are excited to announce that Tony Carrasco is our new Senior Account Executive, based outside of Los Angeles, California. Tony most recently held the position of Director of Business Development with CSS IMPACT for the last four years. Tony, with over fifteen years veteran of sales, client relations and business planning experience is a key addition to the DAKCS team.

If you are a CSS IMPACT customer or are currently considering migration, first contact us at DAKCS so we can provide you with a detailed customer reference list to assist you on making an objective decision on the most significant part of your business, your accounts receivable management and collection software.

August 26, 2014 - QwikFlow cloud-based solution introduced to ensure Regulation E compliance
Ogden, Utah, August 27, 2014 – DAKCS Software Systems (DAKCS), a provider of innovative cloud and on-premise software solutions for the accounts receivable and collection management industry, has released a patent pending, cloud-based product to ensure Regulation E compliance, accelerate debt payment, automate document and bill presentment, and provide an electronic ‘wet signature’ solution.

The features of QwikFlow will be highlighted in a September 17, 2014, 10:00am MDT complimentary webinar that is open to existing and potential DAKCS customers.

Regulation E requires collection agencies to obtain a signed, written authorization from consumers who seek to arrange recurring payments from a checking account during a telephone call for the transactions. Such written authorization could potentially be in the form of a “wet signature” from the consumer on a paper authorization form, an email from the consumer or the consumer could be routed to a payment website or even an IVR.

QwikFlow accomplishes this and also allows for document, bill presentment, payments and ‘wet signatures’ from any mobile device or computer in less than a minute:

  • Regulation E compliant: QwikFlow is completely compliant with Regulation E, which requires a written signature for any preauthorized EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer). This includes any ACH or debit card transactions post dated or set up on a recurring schedule.
  • Text or email initiated: Initiate e-signature, document or bill presentment or payment requests via an automated text or email, rapidly increasing the auto-payment, payment and signature process.
  • No username or passwords required: QwikFlow administrators can create a 4 or 8 digit PIN that will allow recipients to quickly validate their identity and begin making payments right away.
  • Powerful interface toolkit (API): QwikFlow’s powerful application programming interface provides any agency access to the most powerful, enterprise focused, e-signature, bill and document presentment, payment solution on the market. Customers who have internally developed accounts receivable management systems or use a non-DAKCS provided software application can utilize DAKCS’ e-signatures, document presentment, and payment solutions.

“We are very excited to offer this groundbreaking product to not only our existing DAKCS customers, but the open interface and cross industry capabilities allow us to engage with a broader market,” said DAKCS President, Lex Patterson.

Always a leader and technology innovator in the accounts receivable and collections management space, DAKCS Software Systems has always ensured that compliance was at the center of their product development.

June 3, 2014 - DAKCS Software Systems Releases Major Upgrade to Cloud Based QwikDial Predictive Dialer Software

Ogden, Utah, June 3, 2014  – DAKCS Software Systems (DAKCS), a provider of innovative cloud and on premise software solutions for the accounts receivable and collection management industry, has released a major upgrade to its contact optimization service, QwikDial.

qwd330The features of this QwikDial release will be highlighted in a June 19th, 2014, 10:00am MDTcomplimentary webinar that is open to existing and potential DAKCS customers.

This latest upgrade to QwikDial was designed to optimize collection success, improve ease-of-use, and help first party and third party collection organizations more effectively execute dialing campaigns.

QwikDial accomplishes this and continues to increase call contacts by 300% as a result of the following new features:

      • Web-Based Dialog Designer:  Call campaign administrators can now graphically set up their call campaigns through a browser based drag-and-drop campaign designer.
      • Advanced Predictive Dialing:  Using advanced statistical algorithms, QwikDial minimizes agent wait times and optimizes the contact rate based on the number of calling resources and available lines.
      • Advanced Preview Dialing:  Advanced preview dialing capabilities allow for intelligent account interaction for agents. Prior to calling the consumer, account preview information is displayed to the agent allowing for intelligent interaction, ensuring cellphone and state restriction compliancy.
      • Intelligent Call Detection:  QwikDial provides more rapid, accurate and intelligent call type detection (i.e. operator intercept, busy, no answer) greatly improving contact rates.
      • Campaign Maintenance: Call campaign administrators can now modify line count, caller-id, block cell-phones, multi-contacts and out-of-area all at the campaign level and on the fly.
      • Call Group Management:  QwikDial can now determine what agents are available and those that have been inactive the longest in a particular call group.
      • Easy IP Based PBX integration:  QwikDial can now more easily be integrated with any IP based PBX, allowing agents to receive and place calls via their local IP based PBX.  In addition to reducing agent console equipment and multiple headsets, this level of integration allows QwikDial to intelligently determine when the agent is available regardless where the call was initiated.

“A primary focus is to drive down costs through automation, reduce expensive and on-premise hardware and to more effectively utilize existing calling resources,” said DAKCS President, Lex Patterson. “We designed this latest release of QwikDial to give our customers an even greater advantage by building in more cost-savings, while improving ease-of-use, these enhancements help reach the right people at the right time in the most efficient manner possible, and most importantly adhering to the strict regulations that govern our industry.”

In cooperation with the CCC compliance team, DAKCS is now able to offer a program that works with a wide variety of client requirements.

According to Lex Patterson, DAKCS president, “As a long time customer centric organization, we continue to work with our clients to provide them with the products and services they need when they need them. We understand the challenges associated with the TCPA regulations. Through our close partnership with CCC, we have now created a cell phone scrub solution that will work for all of our stand-alone, integrated VIC dialer customers. We have already addressed and included cell phone scrubbing for our web based dialing product: Vocality. Today we are pleased to be able to provide an effective cell phone scrub service for all of our dialer clients.

Ryan Thurman, Contact Center Compliance’s Director of Sales and Marketing added, “Managing wireless compliance in an era of increased enforcement is extremely risky without a reliable solution and proven expertise. Having a real-time solution integration with DAKCS dialer provides the ultimate in failsafe protection to minimize the risk of calling cell phones that can change daily. We are excited to evolve our partnership with DAKCS to offer a cost effective and easy to implement solution.”

October 19, 2010 - DAKCS Software Systems Introduces a New Cloud Based Dialing Solution
DAKCS Software Systems a leader in the accounts receivable management industry, has introduced their latest software service solution; Vocality.

Vocality, a web/SaaS based dialing solution, is completely integrated with all DAKCS Software. There are no uploads and downloads.

This simple to use, pay as you go program is a messaging system with link back that includes voice recording and cell phone scrubbing options. The Vocality product includes all the great features of the DAKCS award winning turnkey dialer/IVR system, VIC, at a price that makes automated dialing an easier and more cost effective way to contact high volumes of debtors.

According to Lex Patterson, President of DAKCS Software Systems, “We are pleased to introduce our newest software solution: Vocality. We have offered a standalone dialing solution for many years, but we recognized that many customers were looking for something that was simple and had a different pricing structure. We created Vocality to meet those requirements. Our clients are using Vocality to enhance the functionality of their existing dialer or as a new way to manage their account volumes. Customers can actually monitor their costs on a real time basis and make usage decisions based upon the actual costs incurred to date. We also offer a dedicated, product specific support team who assist with the initial set up as well as with ongoing changes and modifications. Through the use of a web based user interface, our clients can log on to the Vocality website and take control of the entire dialing process. They can start, stop and schedule campaigns all through the web. Vocality is meeting and exceeding our customer expectations. As a customer centric organization, the DAKCS team focuses on providing innovative solutions that keep our clients consistently ahead of the competition.”

September 20, 2010 - DAKCS Software Systems to Move to Ogden, Utah's Central Business District
DAKCS Software Systems has moved its headquarters to the new Junction Building in downtown Ogden as of September 1, 2010. DAKCS occupies nearly 10,000 square feet on the fourth floor. The building, located at The Junction Development, is on the corner of Washington Boulevard and 24th Street.

DAKCS Software Systems had been at their Taylor Avenue address for over 27 years. Although previous consideration had been given to moving to downtown Ogden, the timing wasn’t right.

According to President Lex Patterson, “In today’s economy, we recognized some great opportunities in the downtown area. We asked Kevin and David Phipps of NAI Utah Commercial Real Estate to help us with the selection process. We considered 16 potential buildings between North Ogden and Layton, but determined The Junction building best met our needs. In addition to getting great lease terms, we are excited to be in the heart of downtown Ogden. Our employees can now enjoy the new restaurants, shopping and entertainment that are in close proximity. The Boyer Company as well as Ogden’s Mayor, Mathew Godfrey have been of great help during this process. We look forward to a long term relationship with both of them.”

Ron Craven of the Boyer Company said, “We are pleased to add DAKCS as a tenant in our Junction Office Building. They join other great tenants such as Wells Fargo Bank and the Van Cott Law Firm. DAKCS is a well established, highly respected, successful software company that adds great strength to our Junction Development.”

April 2, 2010 - Improving Customer Service: Technology and the Future of Debt Collection
As numerous individuals find themselves struggling with their finances in this economy, the amount of complaints against debt collection agencies are mounting. In an annual survey, debt collection agencies were ranked number one on the national list of consumer complaints. Most debt collection agencies, however, are not to blame for poor customer relations; the majority of agencies nationwide are fully compliant with only a few agencies creating negative publicity for the industry as a whole.

This annual survey reveals many consumers find themselves bullied and harassed by some of the less scrupulous companies. In response to this, a recent Business Week article discussed Debt Collection Bill consequences and the reactions of individuals who have been harassed by debt collection agencies. This FDCPA bill or “Fair Debt Collection Practices Act”, originally created in 1978 and most recently amended in 2006, aims to reduce the abusive, intimidating, and harassing practices of debt collection agencies and provide consumers with access to debt information that would allow them to ensure the accuracy of their accounts.

More consumers are understanding these laws and consequentially filing complaints against agencies that are in violation. They are aware that the act prevents creditors from calling at inconvenient times, specifically no earlier then 8:00 A.M. and no later then 9 P.M., with all proven violators subject to $10,000 first offence and $20,000 second offence fines. In addition, agencies are not able to call during work hours, except once a month and only if they have not been able to contact the individual at home.

One Debt Collection Agency’s response to this customer relations situation, as seen in the recent article “Collection Agency Unveils New Strategic Plan, Vision for Industry” discusses the agency’s desire to inspire and inflect an industry-wide change on debt collection companies. The emphasis and new organizational theme is to change the habits of its collectors as well as reach out a hand to consumers, who need no longer be referred to as “debtors” but instead “consumers”. Agreeing with the FDCPA, agencies are encouraged to even go as far as to provide individuals with web materials they can read and use to educate themselves, such as personal finance calculators and forms for filing disputes.

Will this strategic plan successfully carry the Accounts Receivable Management industry into the future?

It might just not be all about the right attitude. Customer service goes hand in hand with superior technology—with the right tools and customer service, debt collection agencies can put themselves in a position to succeed even in a highly competitive and challenging industry. When your debt collection system is on point and you’re treating consumers in a positive way, you’re bringing your agency one step closer to success.

For better interactions with consumers, callers and collection managers need increasingly advanced technology to monitor and identify both good and bad calls for the purposes of training. Debt collection system software integrated with predictive dialing technology ensures collectors save time and allows agencies to comply with regulations.

Debt collection system database tools are designed to cut back on the amount of time agents are on the phone and to make sure they stay in compliance. These tools also make it easy for collectors to collect payments when their computer desktop turns into a cashier station. Credit card processing and e-check processing options are easy and fast with some debt collection system software.

With debt collection system tools and software, agencies can provide the best service, comply with all regulations, and achieve high performance levels as well.
