This class will allow participants to make hands on changes within the test system and view actual results. One DAKCS trainer for every 5 participants will ensure personalized instruction. Limited space is available, participants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

A laptop computer with the following minimum requirements is required:

  • Windows XP with minimum 512 MB memory
  • WiFi 80211G Capable
  • Screen Resolution of 1024X768
  • Terminal Emulator (Anzio or Pro-Comm) and Beyond.net Client (trial version of Beyond.net Client is available upon request)

Hands-On participants should plan to meet with DAKCS instructors between Noon and 6:00pm on Wednesday at the Registration Desk, for configuration of personal computers.

REPORT WRITER

Learn to use templates to build reports and letters, create customized screens and reports for your most demanding clients, and place specific information in front of collectors by Client, Type of Debt or Business Class.

DIALOG DESIGNER

Instructors: Eric Wahlstrom
This class will focus on the fundamentals of building dialogs with the new VIC Dialog Designer, including understanding the properties, nodes and setting up flow to accomplish IVR functionality.

Guest Presenters

ADAM J. PETERMAN is the Director of Government Affairs for ACA International. In that capacity, Adam is tasked with executing a legislative strategy based on ensuring federal legislators and regulators understand the importance of the credit and collections industry to the U.S. economy, and how various changes to federal law would affect the industry, both positively and negatively. Based in Washington, DC, Mr. Peterman frequently addresses ACA members across the country, and also travels regularly to ACA’s headquarters in Minneapolis, MN to update other legal and government affairs staff on progress in Washington.

TIM BORDER — For over 15 years, Tim has been helping individuals and organizations increase their effectiveness and happiness. With Tim’s background in training and development he offers fresh, high energy and interactive presentations.

Tim graduated from Weber State after earning his graduate degree and started Self Management Systems in 1987. In addition to co-authoring Who’s at the Helm: Three Secrets to Gain Immediate Control of Your Life, he has been a professor at Weber State University since 1992, and is a proud husband and father of three.
